On My Mind

Right now I have some things on my mind that I want ... NEED to get out.

There are some problems that have been worrying me. Maybe i've just been watching too many documentaries recently. The American People have problems.
Capitalism.
Cancer.
Obesity.
Pollution.
Newer and stronger Diseases and Viruses.
Poor Economy and NO Stability.

I think that most of us know about these problems and want to change it. Things are just not the way they should be. But how? It seems hopeless. Like there is no way for any one person to change it. This is true. No ONE person can.

What if there was a place in your neighborhood where you could watch your food grow. What if you could see what went into it before you ate it. What if, instead of wrapped in 2 or 3 layers of plastic, sprayed with chemicals and shipped for miles and miles, you could just simply ride a bike or take a walk to where it was grown? What if you could afford organic? What if someone you know was making your daily bread, and it tasted great? What if you could pronounce all the ingredients in the things you fed your family?

What if there was a place where people worked without expecting to be rich? What if they did all this work for the good of the community and so they could just survive. THAT is what most American People want, right? That's what I want. What if the places growing your food were the places selling your food. What if it was a non-profit organization, serving the rich and the poor?

Would you shop at this place? Would you provide jobs for people in your community and give your kids healthful foods to eat? Would you make changes to help solve the problems facing us today?
No one person can fix the future that is facing our childeren and grandchilderen. But one person can start.
It starts today, today it starts for me.

What do YOU think?
